McCloskey Business Plan Competition

Now in its 14th year, the McCloskey Business Plan competition is for ventures that have not been launched or are in the earliest stages of launch.  Ventures will compete for McCloskey’s $25,000 Grand Prize. A grand total of nearly $300,000 is available in cash and in-kind prizes

Klau Family Prize for Greatest Social Impact

Formerly billed as the “Social Venture Competition,” this award is now part of the McCloskey Business Plan Competition, and offers all ventures – both for-profit and nonprofits – the opportunity to compete for an additional $15,000 cash prize.  Are you passionate about solving a particular social, humanitarian, or environmental problem?  Does your business address a profound human need?  Enter the McCloskey Business Plan Competition and register to compete for the Greatest Social Impact Prize.

Teams compete for nearly $300,000 in cash and prizes.  For a complete list of prizes, see Detailed Overview.

  McCloskey Competition: Register now!

Please take just a few minutes to register your team - BE SURE TO REMEMBER THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD USED TO CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT!  Once you create your account, you will be able to go back into your team information to edit, update team member information, etc.  You then have until November 1, 2013 to upload your Round 1 requirement, which is quite simple:  a 2-page overview of your new venture.  LATER, those teams advancing to Round 2 will be required to submit a 10-page business plan which is due February 7, 2014.  We provide many excellent resources along the way, including educational training sessions, mentoring, networking opportunities, feedback and business plan software.

Please note:  If you have registered for the McCloskey Competition in a previous year, you will need to create a NEW account this year - the old account may function, but it is associated with a prior year.
